Yea, I only got this to work for the last configuration. Plus, they gave you specs that made the MRSP near $2k. Lucky for you that it worked! Must have applied 2x or something because I can only configure around $1400 min

 

His specifications are lower than the promotion models. I would like the know how he did that. Or else, it's a very lucky glitch.

Tell me how that doesn't beat your $1100 deal. The only thing difference is your T7250 Santa Rosa chip which is only $100 more.

See attached picture. When Dell first launched the Promo, they didn't include a 3 year warranty and also the discount came right from the $1399 price when it was suppose to start at $1399 and come from the $1700-1800.

Unfortunately that can't be done. That's the reason it's at that promotion it is because of the third year warranty. There's no way for a sales rep to decrease an item in the configuration when its not available in the configurator.

It's been done, some guy called about his XPS m1530 that he ordered through this and downgraded the ram to 1gig. Post #96 here is the quote "Spent 30min on phone, I confirmed the downgrade of memory, old order was canceled for new order, so now new order has following
(2.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 8600M GT, 160GB 7.2k RPM, 3Y WTY) ---> $949"

and he didn't even cancel warranty yet.

 

The XPS M1530 deal appears to have expired, and the M1330 deal doesn't come with the LED backlit screen. Still a pretty good deal though - very highly specced.

 

You can't get it for the price CPU guy got it for since he configured it as the deal went up and got a discount that does not apply anymore. What A Led Rock was trying to say and what I am going to say is that although this IS a good deal...the one from last week was just as good. I got a $500 instant discount off of my m1530 and did not have to be overcharged for upgrading the 3GB ram. Even if you applied the coupon now...the lowest configured m530 is around $1200. Dell just stuffed these lappys with everything and shot up the prices as the MRSP of this deal for the m1530 now starts at $2068 when I got my specs (which has a better battery but loses the 3 years warranty at MRSP of $1524) for around $1100. The $100 difference can get you 4GB ram anyway. Grats with your buy though!

you know i was talking to the customer support to brinf the price down, he mentioned that the screen will be updated after the holidays,(better res,led,,,)
