If you have in your area, head there and check the price ( Check availability) More likely than not it's gonna be $599. While the specs are not particularly hot, and it's just one year warranty, it's still a pretty good notebook for the price. YMMV if you find one, tho. GL!
-
??? How the heck are you getting them at that price?
I've seen managers bargain a few bucks (~$100) off a clearance computer, but never by almost $500. You would have to find one retarded manager to give you that kind of deal. -
I didn't have to bargain for the price. This particular model is discontinued (my guess) and on clearance, it's $599 in the system. CSR was surpised a little, too but it's all legit. If you can find it (unlikely), the price in the system most likely will be $599. I found it in one of 5 or so stores around me, and they had like 8 of them in stock. However, they gonna go fast, so if you like this deal, act fast.
-
I actually found 2 of these same systems at 539$ in my local best buy today. I picked them up for my parents and sister. Its an awesome deal for that price.
-
Thanks for the info.
-
is this still valid?? thats cheaper then the first 1530 refurb i got!
-
This is still completely valid. $599 at a lot of stores, half of them still have it in stock although they'll probably sell out after Sunday.
Laptop comes with Antivirus AND a case too inside the box. It is a great deal. -
A 15 inch notebook weighing 4.4 pounds?! -
probably without the battery
-
I learned of this deal from another forum, and I checked around 3 best buys. All sold out, but at least the prices were in fact $599
-
They're 999.99 now.
-
Picked one up for $716. The manager would only match what was in stock at the lower price in their district. So in Portland, Oregon the lowest price was $716. I was suprised they actualy did this considering they sell on average 1.87 units per week, and the stores that clearanced them out sold about .22 - .38. I might try another store and see if I can get the deal for $599 and then c/l the more expensive one. Even for $716 I feel that this is was a very good deal especially with all the accesories that you get. Good luck everyone!

Just called the 1-888 # and talked to a CSR - even thought the website price is now $999, I told him I thought the price should be $599, and that stores have been selling for this price as recent as a few days ago. He asked for my zip, and said he would have to check with a local store, put me on hold and when he came back, said he was having trouble confirming and had to check with his supervisor - came back and said I was right, and the price should be $599 - I just completed my order - including tax came to $630.
I figured I would call the 1-888 number before calling the store - never called the store to check before ordering, etc - just call the national # and let the CSR work it out. I'll pick up at the local store tomorrow!
Hope that you should still be able to get this deal! -
i was just on the phone with the 188 number and they basically told me that the store has to have it in stock for 599 for them to price match it. i had her check all over southern california and none of them had it at that price, so she said no.
-
This A.M. called BB CSR. She said the price was $999 & would have to call a local store to see if the price was any different. Called, the local store, Rogers, AR, and again was told the price was $999. After explaining that other stores had the 1530 on clearance for $599, she did some more checking and said the $599 was coreect. Said they had 2 left in stock. Ran right down to the store. The checkout person at Geek Squad couldn't believe the price was $599 and asked me if there were any left, so told him I thought there was one left. He said this was his favorite laptop and would grab the last one. According to the online store availibility I see 2 out of the 5 NW AR BB stores have this 1530 in stock. Needless to say, am a happy camper.
-
I tried to go to my local Best Buy and they said they sold out the first day.
-
I just got me one!!!! $637.19 after everything! I called the 800 number and told the girl that this laptop was reported to be $599.. she looked and said that this price was good until Sat night. I live in Detroit Metro area.. none of the Bestbuys around me were even selling them at that price! She said she would sell it to me anyway.
Also she gave me her extension x20439 (ask to be transfered to her). Her name is Monique! THANK YOU MONIQUE! -
It works- thanks, Monique
Mike -
If you got one locally, check out the store tomorrow, there's a very good chance that the price have dropped to $539, and you are entitled to the difference. No need to bring the notebook back, just the receipt and CSRs will refund the difference.
-
If anyone knows of ANY BB that still has them In-Stock for $599, please PM their phone # !!!! I got a BB rep that's calling me back tomorrow and he said he could PM it "if" I could find a store, any store that still has them for that $
-
cam you guys please do the same for myself as well

Yeah, and unfortunately I'm now browsing ebay to see if theres any good deals. I could really use a laptop (my very first one to be specific)
It's either a cheap XPS m1530 (by finding a good deal/coupon or go on outlet), a HP dv6700t, or a HP dv2700t SE (I love the verve imprint, it's sexy).
I've "tried" a total of about 4-5 Best Buy's, and they're always sold out. Tough luck for me huh? -
My Brother called best buys 800 # and they had none in stock at his location so they just offered to ship it to him... he still got the deal. I know that the deal is going on in Detroit Metro Area (Utica, Troy) and his area is the Colorado Springs/Denver Area, hope that helps.
-
When did he call them? I'm not sure if the clearance prices are still up, and on top of that I live in Southern California, so most of the stores are already sold out. Maybe they'll grab one from who-knows-where and sell it to me?
By the way, what's the 1-800 Number? 1-800-best-buy? Lol.
Oh, and I found on the main website:
"Call 1-800-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) for the fastest response."
^ Which one is it? I'm assuming the one with 1-888, but . . . *shrug*
EDIT2: Haha I tried the 1-888 number, directed to the online department, and I was told that I could either make an online order (the $1k price tag @ their website) or walk into the stores and see if they have them. I guess living in SoCal sucks at times. . . -
OKAY, 1st you don't know me OR my intentions! Fed-EX is "missing" the one I sold to a nice guy on this forum so now I am trying to replace it for him - Is that okay with you? And how about you stay home and take care of 2 kids while I'm at work so someone is always home with them when they come home from school. Can you do that for me too ? -
1-866-774-6228 -
Haha yeah they still tell me the same thing. Don't worry I guess, it's already too late for my area.
-
The Ft Smith, AR store supposedly has some left.
-
I called 3x yesterday with no luck but today I called and actually got "Monique" !!! She was totally willing to help me out - she rocks !!! Btw, I tried desperately to get them to transfer me to her yesterday and they said "we can't transfer you to a specific person/extension" but today I was randomly and blessedly queued to her !
-
You called "Monique" today, but did you get the deal? I'm still trying my 1-888-774-6228 number, and I'm hoping I can either request her or get her by chance. Do I just tell them I want to order a laptop or somethin'?
Thanks
EDIT: I may as well mod this post instead of double posting.
Here's my story.
After work, around this time, I called in the best buy number in this post, and I asked to be transferred to Monique. I didn't get the transfer, but I did get a nice lady who was willing to help me out. I asked about the XPS m1530, and I told her it was listed for $999.99. I then told her that I saw it in 3-4 stores (which is true) and seeing it for around $599.99. After some talk, she told me I could order it online for the online price, go to any Best Buy store, and get my cash back with the $999 to $599 difference. She also offered me free shipping, and I agreed to this. After getting shipping/card info out of the way, I first allowed BB to charge my card a total of $1,088.49 after tax.
All I need to do now is go to the nearest Best Buy, show them the receipt, and get my cash back. Hopefully nothing goes wrong (if something does I'll just need to get a refund) and I eventually get the Dell XPS m1530 for $599+tax.
Deal still alive (in a way)? -
-
whatever. I have a wealth of info on precisely how YOU TOO could have scored one for le$$ but after reading your post, I decided to keep the info to myself. And there was no driving all over town either - just a 10 minute phone call placed in the comfort of my home !
-
I would totally buy one of these for that price, holy &#*!

Zetto, Zetto, Zetto-
I see you did your research - Good Job ! I did drive to Geneva, IL the first-time around and already Sold it. If you read my FS post, it even tells you to whom I sold it to. As for the one I listed today, I did no driving whatsoever. I know it's hard for you to understand how I could be talking about 2 different scenarios as that would require advanced cognitive skills, but alas, it's the truth. As for "denying" you the deal, it was a YMMV deal from the start ! And do you even live within 20 miles from me? IF not, HOW DID I DENY YOU THIS DEAL precisely? Needless to say, the new ones I got were not from any local BB retail store...This time I never touched any of their stock which is OOS now anyway! Basically, if you didn't get in on this the very first day, the chance of you finding one for $599 PLUS TAX went from 35% to about 15%. Finally, yes, I am charging more than I paid for it but it still cost HUNDREDS LESS than what it retails for RIGHT NOW ! So, how am I "ripping" people off again ?
Finally, you need to let go of your anger over not getting this particular deal...if you checked slickdeals more often, you could have already ordered a more suped up version for only $100 more but wait, how does a "poor schmuck" (your words not mine!) afford a m1330 AND a m1530 ?
Finally, for a guy who promised a while ago not to keep going "off-topic" I think maybe you might be the one lying ? If you or anyone else had PM'd me a few days ago and asked me nicely, I would have helped you out as I know that there will be other buyers for my Sale as it is such a great deal all-around. And I hope you are not walking into BB stores with this "attitude" either as being Nice will get you a lot further in life than being accusatory and angry and petty. -
"more suped up version for only $100 more" what?!?
