    have the back to school deals come and gone for most laptop makers, if not when would they be starting to surface

    if you were thinking of ordering online (ex. Dell), then you're too late
    however, back-to-school deals have started surfacing in stores. i believe they'll last for another week or two.

    dang thats too bad, i was considering the vostro 1400 and still am, however my current laptop is sufficient but battery life bites :(
