Thats funny, when it first arrived at BestBuy the AW only had 1 GTX 260m for that same price, now it has 2.

The only problem with the M17x is the measly WXGA+ screen resolution. I mean, 1440x900 is perfectly fine for a 13.3" or 14.1" notebook, but a 17" one?! Come on!

    Same goes for the Asus!

Well BOB lol, If you configure the M17x on Alienwares website it starts out with the lower res screen that best buy carries. You cant have cheap as possible price and the config everyone obviously wants in the same deal lol.

ASUS Best Buy exclusives always have a lower res, and downplayed 1 year warranty as well as other missing things like bluetooth to keep the price lower.

the alienware that NOW has sli is awesome. an added benefit is that you'll get higher framerates since the res is so low. also, with the low res the laptop is fully equipped to accommodate the seeing impaired.

the savings over dell's website is exactly $325. so if you need the 1900x1200 res, an additional $150 upgrade, the total cost will be about $500 after tax.
