    Hey!

eBay Bing Cashback is moving up...with a slow eBay "crawl"

    It's at 10% now.

    >go to www.bing.com
    > Use these Keywords:
    • xbox
    • panasonic

The one that is working the best is *xbox*, panasonic works, but I have had to "refresh" a few times.

***I will update this thread with keywords & new Cashback update % Updates as they come thru for you all!!

So, is this the slow move back on up? :p :D

Not bad at all, but I do wish ebay-bing would do 20% like they did before :p

Nope, not at all..I'm hoping this is a start of another slow (yet fast paced movement up the Bing CB % climb) :p It was at 15% recently...so perhaps, it will go to 20%; then to 25%; then to 30%...and so forth! :D HA!!!

last year during Christmas, ebay went to 25%. But since the highest ebay ever got to was 35%, you never know what's going to happen.

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Should I buy an SSD now, or should I wait to see if Bing CB will creep any higher?

I would rather go for the increase of the $200 limit, although 35% isn't bad either. :D Too bad, my ebay coupon expired.

On the 16th. I dithered too long when it was up to 25%, and by the time I wanted to buy the item, bing had gone down, and my HP RMA was (still is) tying up my loose cash.

Just have to keep waiting. ;)

My impression is that Bing is highest BEFORE Christmas. And after Christmas it drops. The idea seem to be getting people to order through BING. However, since we're so clost to the point of 'no return' in terms of shipping time, I'm not sure if Bing will go higher. I used it quite a bit last year and that's my sense.

Yes, last year, starting from December 18th to February 23rd cashback was on 0%, while on December 17th cashback was up to 25%.
I wouldn't use 10% cashback right now, and wait until it goes up higher.

keywords gold coin, ipod cheap, wii cheap, goldg coin works right now too.

Yes, you had edited your post with that information, right after I had made my post! LoL..I just saw that now! ;) And, I hope it's not a fluke, either.

Here is my edit: Xbox is still at 10%...Panasonic is also still at 10%..however; first search showed at 8%, but after 2 refreshes..it cleared to 10%.

What do you suggest? I'm getting one for my dad. He is looking for a starter camera. If cashback hits 20%, since the limit is $200, there is no point in going any higher than $1k.

I have almost 6K worth of camera equipments purchased within the last 2 months ....yeah time to start saving ...time to start saving .....(then why the hell I am watching a Canon 100mm F/2.8L IS for $840 ...)

haha, I don't have nearly as much money as you do to throw at cameras. I bet you have a killer set. By the way, which entry level camera is better? The Rebel XS or D3000? From a personal perspective, I have always thought Nikon as the best camera brand.

I'm sure that kind of question is too general and has been beaten to death by many. A better question, just like the "What notebook should I buy?" question, would be from what standpoint, ease of use? Robustness? etc etc.

    Personally, I prefer Pentax :p

Back on the topic, I'm also hoping that eBay bing cashback will go above 20% at least.

Go for the rebel XS ..it's cheaper than the D3000 and have live view, and it have a general better IQ (image quality ) than D3000 . Also just for future , canon lenses are cheaper than Nikon's and ezer to sell since it have a bigger market share.

And also ....if you don't want to pay for the "L" class lenses like I did ...here is a few alt lenses that is sharp and cheap to beginners(like me)

Tamron 28-75 F2.8 - 300 used ,make sure if you buy used , ask for sample since this lens suffer from QC .

Another few good ones but no reviews out yet, they except to be good lenses
Sigma 50-200 DC HSM OS -$300
Sigma 17-70 DC Marco HSM OS - 4450
    Sigma APO 150-500mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM - $600-800

although you shall be good with just the kit lenses for now which is the 18-55 IS . If you want any more reach/ zoom go for the other kit lens 55-250 IS (shall cost you around 150-200 used) if you want a travel lens (the do it all lens ) go for the following
    Canon EF-S 18-200 USM IS - $450-500
Tamron 18-270 F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF) - $500
    Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM - $450

Those are the 3 best travel lenses , the Sigma is being a bit more sharper but non of them will have super ultra sharp Image Quality like the Pro lenses (if you only do like 4 x 6 prints you will be fine with these lenses.) Here is the forum that is a DSLR camera/gear forum , you will find a lot of helpful advise and at the B&S section there are a lot of bargain lenses/bodies for sale too.

I think that is enough for DSLR talks in here ....don't want to get kill by the mod...

I ended up getting the canon bundle with the 300 lens from your amazon link. Total came out as ~570 with expected arrival @ 26th. There is also a $50 rebate for the canon, making the total package only ~520!!!!! Too bad the 300 lens was out of stock, so it will ship later. If it wasn't for your help, I would have bought a D3000 from ebay. Thanks for the help!!

edit: Freaking sweet!!! it's going to arrive @ 24th! :D

I bought my D3000 with 18-55 VR from ebay....450-bing 8% = 414 ....then found a 55-200 VR for $140 . At that time XS was still at around 600 that was why I choose D3000 other wise I would've choose the XS since I have a whole bunch of canon lenses...

A few weeks ago things dropped from 10% down to 8% for a day, and then shot up briefly to 15 and then 20%... so there is hope.
    See the graph: http://www.cashbackr.com/live-com-ebay-cashback-trend-chart

But looking at the calendar, it ios more likely things will not go up for a long time. of course maybe tomorrow Microsoft decides to give us all a Christmas present?
