I'm looking to buy a Dell Inspiron 9200. Someone on Ebay with good feedback is selling links to deals for $20. Their deal works out to about $130 cheaper than Dells' current promotion (or anything mentioned on this site). Where is he getting this deal, and is it for real? The price works out to about $1200 after shipping for a base 9200 with CD burner upgrade and 80GB hard drive upgrade.

there have been of these "i'll sell you info for 5 dollars that will save you 100 dollars" on ebay. i don't know if they're tru or not, but i sure would avoid it...
remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it is -
Thanks for the quick info. I thought perhaps this guy had an additional 10% off stackable coupon. I thought Dell gave those out to previous customers sometimes.
Will the $700 off work for the 9200? I've tried some of the past ones and they don't usually work. Sometimes it seems like Dell adds that fine print after a day or two. -
avoid it, dell distributes coupon codes to affiliates such as this site but there's certainly no dirty little secret about that and there's no other source for coupon codes. he might be selling upcoming coupon codes, dell just sent those out for 2/24 for instance (they're pretty nice btw, $700 off $1999 being the top tier) but other than that it's got to be a scam.

I just got an email from the guy. He says it's an employee discount. The nice thing about ebay is you just pay with credit card and you're safe from everything.
ebay deals legit? Dell 9200
