    can someone tell me if this is a good deal here

    i based purchase on the NV59 24 25 26 40u and 5740g 6979

    for 25 bucks more =O u get quad core baby !

    and from this here Notebookcheck: AMD Phenom II X4 N930 Notebook Processor

    this is faster than i5 430 but slightly slower than 520


    finally i can stop q.q-ing !!!!

    nice laptop for this price. The AMD quad core is powerful and hasn't missed a beat yet. The laptop stays cool and quiet the only time i hear a fan is when it's booting up.

    I ordered that too and it's currently making its way. Sorry I can't say how good it will be, but it certainly is a good deal for the specs.

    Oh nice, you have it already? Do you know if this model has switchable graphics or Turbo Core (AMD's version of Intel's Turbo Boost)?

    Wow, this is a pretty good deal. I had a comp configured on HP similar to this except with free blue ray upgrade and it came out to 778 including tax but with the 25% bing. Next day, I was going to place my order but the bing discount vanished :( ..

    I've never bought a laptop from Amazon before... Is the warranty the usual 1 year from HP or is it something else?

    And how do you there's 12 left? I can't seem to find where it lists the quantity they have in stock :confused:

    Full manufacturer's warranty. I've bought plenty from Amazon, they're usually pretty good. Not perfect, but good. Just pay attention and make sure it's "sold by Amazon" vs. a third party supplier. My only complaint is if one of their suppliers offers it for less even a day after you just bought it, they won't price match. But that's a risk anytime you buy. Overall, I've been happy and have used them for years (along with Newegg and others).

    HP is still selling it for $899.99 - 10% BCB but that doesn't touch the $775.
