    Im not sure if this deal is available everywhere, but I picked one up yesterday at CC in tallahassee, fl. the price is $999 with $330 in mail in rebates. seemed like a good deal. the rebates expire today(2/14). link is:

    they dont show up online. I went in expecting to buy the compaq(599 deal), and there was a sign showing that this was only 70 bucks more. I looked at the rebate receipt, and the offer ends today. you might want to stop by and see if your cc has the same thing.
