this store seems to have insanely good deals on the asus s96j; especially with the 5% off coupon (which is ibuypower...). Very-well configured for around $1200 WITH OS free carrying case and World of Warcraft! Only prob. is the 5400 rpm hard-drive. Too good to be true?

iBuypower has horrible post-sale service. Pre-sales and ordering services are flawless though. Just hope you don't ever have to deal with their customer support departments or person.

Edit1: Currently typing on a Uniwill 259IA3 bought from iBuypower last year in February.

People say dells service is horrible... But it's not too bad... I buy power is rated much higher. Anyone here have experience with ibuypower? How was it? Would you buy from them again?

there was a link in the other manufacturers forum about them and it was all negative. also, their overall score is high, but if you looked at the individual breakdown, they are pretty bad.

it's different. since dell has a lot more customers, they will have more unsatisfied customers (even if it makes up a small percentage of their sales). it is most likely all those disgruntled people who would go around looking to find places to give it a bad rep. i mean, look at the number of people who troll around here about hp or dell or whatever company. considering that there are 1129 reviews for dell, and supposing that they are all bad, 1129, is still such a small portion of dell's total sales. hence, i wouldn't exactly follow resellerratings.com for large companies. ibuypower is a much smaller company. for them to get so many negative reviews is a different question.

It's this a great deal? Includes operating system, free shipping, at least $150 cheaper than a similarly configured system at other places.

well i bought a laptop from them 2 years ago that was meant to be a desktop replacement. of course after my 2 year waranty ended the mother board decided to die on me. their customer service is not that bad. my few experiences with them were short. i called and stated my problem and they took a message to whoever could help me. then the person that could help me would call me later and help with the issue. is the customer service the best no but certainly not the worst i've worked with.

the motherboard was most likely my fault cause I got hooked on WoW and played crazy amount of hours on that laptop.
the issue I do have to warn you about was after the warrenty I found out their laptops were from another company meaning I had to go through another company to get the information I needed to get another motherboard. which didn't help cause I logged onto CSS and in literally 15 seconds the computer died on me again. also some strange buzzing came from the power adapter but it wasnt the power adapter that was broken.
i'm not sure if all their laptops are from one company or if they actually make their own products now. and by no means am i trying to scare you but trying to give you all the information from my experience that i can.

i have 3 desktops from them that were each for insane prices and not had one issue from any of them. 2 being 1 year old and the first one i bought being about 3 years old now.

the laptop i had from them had a pent 4 HT 3.0ghz, 1 gig of ram, 60gig hd, 15.4 widescreen, with radeon 9xxxx(sorry cant remeber exactly which it was).
and all that 2 years ago was $1950. when it worked it worked amazingly but when it broke it sucked.

if you have any questions i'll try and check over this thread during this week.
