Ok, just trying to use recent data from the past to try and "predict" the future. Just wanted to know the best deals from each company so I can find a rough estimate to aim for when I'm ready to look at a new notebook this summer. So far:
Dell Home: 25/30/35% - though I can't remember the last time I saw this, crazy Dell % off have been getting rarer... and haven't seen much for SB, the occasional 25%, XPS maybe 10% any better deals?
HP: the current $500 off over $1399 is a great deal
Lenovo: 25/30% - I think from December on some X and T models
Sony: $300 off when you trade in an older computer
Any other companies I missed or better deals??

15% off Latitudes @ Dell Outlet, 10% off Latitudes @ SMB, and the occasional $500 off from XPS/Inspiron @ Dell Home.
Oh, and $200 Dell Gift Card promotions. -
The Labor Day sale from Lenovo was better than the december stuff.
-
I didn't know of any $500 off XPS from Dell! Nice.
Did the Labor Day sale have like X% or $Y off or just good notebook deals, dave? -
I forgot the exact percentage, but I remember you could order a T61p with the best video card for less than $1100.
-
The Canada Vostro sale in December was really good.
-
Yeah, I config'ged a T61p with some great goodies for less than $900 at one point. But decided to break my laptop turnaround habit and keep what I got.

The HP $500 off coupon is great, of course. Over the holidays they had a 30% off with PayPal offering $50 off if you went through their checkout and if you clicked through from FatWallet, you got 6% cash back on top of that. (The FatWallet cash back is now 3%.)
I missed the $50 off from PayPal when I originally ordered and the $500 off coupon they have now gave me a better system at a much lower cost. In the last month, HP has offered one or two $400 off coupons but I spent the last three weeks crossing my fingers there would be a $500 off coupon. I can't believe I had the patience and it paid off. -
doesn't dell and others pre-configure their system in a way that 20-30% deals make it less of a deal. the recent $799 off xps 1330 with 8% epp, 10% stackable, and 4% dpa was a sweet deal for me.
-
Yea, the Lenovo Labor Day sale coupled with my EPP discount was really good.
-
i got 45% off of my R612 that should be here in a few days
-
There was a 40% off on Lenovo 12" notebooks about three months ago.
-
What company is the R612 from? How did you manage that?!
in the past 6 months, best notebook coupons/deals?
