The B1 comes with a 200GB hard drive and the T7700 C2D processor, wheras the A1 has a 160GB hard drive and a T7500 C2D processor. Other than those two things, they are exact same notebook.

To the OP concerning getting a "cheap" ASUS G1S-A1, try ZipZoomFly ($1569 after coupon) and BTOtech, at $1599.

yeh im talking about the A1.. the thing is i might not get it right away. so some of these coupons may expire or the deal may go away. im jus wondering if asus will distribute the asus at a lower price so dealers like gentech and such can sell them for a lower price. Is it likely for the g1s-a1 to go on sale this holiday season?

I feel like i'd like to purchase the g1s from 1toppc.com (gentech) since they throw in a 160gb external hard drive which is what i want and they seem reputable and reliable.
