Yes, I think it is excellent deal. Even machine weight is not that bad at 6lbs for 15.4" laptop.
If I have to buy, I would not hesitate... -
Oh my goodness, that is a very good deal, thanks for posting it!

The notebook looks much nicer. The picture on the Best buy site is incorrect. Also I sudgest looking at the video. It seems like a very nice notebook. And one of the collest feature is the ability to play a DVD/CD without booting up the OS!! That is so awesome, and saves on battery life im sure... Anyone in the market for a laptop like this.... THIS IS A STEAL GET IT NOW!!! -
Dang it. Its gone

Best Buy has these back in stock and online for 749. Wow, been chasing this around the Gulf Coast for 2 days. Finally the Mobile Al store has 10 of them. Ordered it on line and will pick it up in the am
BTW, haven't talked to a salesperson yet that could believe the online price, thought it was a mistake!!
Anyway, great forum, lots of help and info. Sure I'll be back, this is my first laptop I've ever owned.

Watch out this thing only provides you with just over 1 hour of battery life!!! THAT IS SAD for a Centrino notebook. If you get this plan on upgrading to the larger capacity battery....

I'm in the Los Angeles area and just picked one up in the Los Feliz store over the weekend. It is such a great deal for this fast yet light weight laptop. It comes with a 6-cell battery that lasts about 2.5 - 3 hours per charge. Monitor is sharp and bright. You have to set it at the maximum resolution though or the icons appear a little fuzzy. I love the multi-format media reader also and I can download pictures from my camera without having to use another adaptor. Overall this is just an awesome laptop and I'm very very happy with the features, quality and of course how much I paid

dat luks like an excellent deal bravo

This deal is back. Along with the good price and the Centrino chip is has a bit faster hardrive, 5400, than the other low price choices. -
Its gone

It really provides you with 2-3 hours? From the reviews that I heave read about the M45, most people are terribly unhappy with the 1 - 1 and 1/2 hours of battery life... Perhaps the batteries that provided this had a lower capacity 4 cell?? Does anyone know anything about the M45 battery?
-
I confirm that this model's battery has 6 cells. I bought one from BB. Overall I've been very happy with it except the wireless signal's speed seems to fluctuate very often (say every 15 min). Do you M45-users have this same problem? How do you work around this issue?
