May come in handy but I have no where to put it. I'll have to stick with the foldable wooden meal trays I have. Though I actually use my lap desk more than anything if I am having to use the laptop at home.

I wanted to get one but never made it out to a store with my busy schedule :/

I think I will call my store and see if they have any in stock and kindly ask a manager if he can match the deal price for me. Its not like they should decline business for any good reason. A sale is a sale and if they just sold it for that price it means I am not asking for something crazy.

Ok, got back from the store. Got two of them, one for home and one for work.

Yeah used mine to get some webmaster work done today while kids where running about.

For storage I did not have a place but it fits right under my left side of my desk where I keep my laptop bag and shoes and tripod. I just put the shoes on it and the other stuff under it. So I kinda have to dig it out when I need it but thats ok, it actually acts as a great shoe shelf :D

The 2nd one I will build tonight at work, it will just act as a "L" for me so I have a place to sit paperwork when working on data entry. Currently my desk is just an "i" straight so I have to hold papers in my lap and that causes back pain and neck pain after so long.

I have to say its exactly what I imagined and it adjust a good amount up and down. Its stable enough while in use but since I have to push that big 17" to the far backside corner to get mouse room it can be tipped over backwards without too much effort, so I was very paranoid when I had to leave it unattended for a few minutes with the kids around, if they trip on the cord or hit it just right it would have toppled over backwards.

The cord thing is also something to mention. I dont like the idea of the laptop getting hurt if a cord is snagged so I am going to mod mine to have a cord cache. A little clamp that holds the cord between the laptop and plug so all the force goes to the tray rather than the laptop and its power jack if somebody trips. I may even go so far as to make a AC jack adapter so it actually plugs into the jack on the tray instead of the laptop and acts as a fail safe, so the cord would pull out of the jack on the tray.

lol, that's crazy that we both have ideas to mod this cart. i actually like this cart so much i was thinkin about installing a USB hub on the underside of it for my cryo LX and to charge devices. i was also thinkin of some cable management, but that'll be after the USB hub install.

Glad you were able to get it & the price was honored after the sale had ended!

It's a nice little laptop cart, I won't be doing any "modding" on mine like you plan on doing!

I keep mine stored in my BR when not in use..Works out nicely.

    Enjoy!
