hello, i was reading peoples enquiries about silent laptops and kept coming across people talking about undervolting and underclocking. i have a compaq n410c which i would very much like to stay as quiet as possible... how should i go about undervolting and underclocking and have you any other hints about silencing this not particularly noisy laptop? thanks, pablito

This doesn't belong here. But You should check the hardware thread. They have some guides and stuff to undervolting.
