If anyone else wants to do the same:
use fatwallet.com (create an account and go to the dell link)
e-value code 19 - d80710g
upgrade to what's listed above
buy a $45 off $400+ coupon from ebay for $6
-
The tech specs look good but since you're buying from DELL, it would have been better to get a at least a 2year warranty.
-
enjoy! if you decide to upgrade the warranty - dell will send you something to do so like 30 days afterwards. Smart shopping!
-
i ordered with a visa so i automatically get an extra year on the warranty
( http://usa.visa.com/personal/cards/benefits/bft_warranty_mgr.html)
don't rain on my parade! -
I would like to join your parade. Got the same specs except the HD and audio thing. But mine came with a 3yr warranty, which I really want since I want it to last long as it can, for $100 more than yours.
I never knew about the visa thing. Since I used my dad's visa credit card, I guess that means I get an extra year also? -
indeed it does
-
Congrats, but...if you look at the coupon link at the top of the page, if you had made your notebook purchase just over $999, you could have used a 30% off coupon and paid just under $700 before tax and shipping. You might want to cancel, add some more stuff and get it all for cheaper.
-
it would have been around $1400 strictly retail. ($885 was after the coupons i listed in my original post)
-
Oh, well you failed to mention you used any coupons from the site if you check your original post.
-
man i wish i knew of all these fatwallet and ebay discounts before buying my dell. (might have even bought a new one, lol)
i just ordered an e1505 with similar specs, minus the +True Life gloss, 100 GB instead of 120, and XP Home for $750 shipped thru the outlet
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=68152
btw do those $15 off $150 etc work in the outlet? i wondered but i didnt have too much time to win an auction with the comp in my cart and only having 15 mins to buy it(talk about sales pressure) -
I agree you should always buy a warrnty plan -
