I have been looking at the custom mods for many days now and I am in complete and total awe.

I will be getting a new Dell Studio 17 soon and all the custom designs they offer are....well...ugly?

I want to eventually paint it and I will be practicing on my old Toshiba. I have found many other "how-to" articles but are there any specific directions as to taking apart different models. I am very nervous when it comes to taking anything (especially computers) apart unless I know for sure how to put it back together.

Any specific how-to's, important tips, specific brands of paint, or any other recommendations that you "Gods of Laptop Mods" can provide would be incredibly appreciated.

I will be painting a very basic 2 or 3 color design, probably with just a few stripes for right now...

    Thank you so much!
