    Backlight Color Dell Studio 17

    How hard would it be to change the color of the keyboard backlight on a dell studio 17? Could i use some sort of light filter or would i need to solder in new leds?

    I believe there are individual LEDs under each key soldered to the board.

    You would have to unsolder each LED (If even possible) and then add your own colored LEDs.

    if they are backlit white you might be able to color them with a magic marker or clear colored tape or something. sharpies ink is translucent, of course test it out on some cheap keychain led thats about the same color to make sure the color it'll project is what you want
