I watched different videos on youtube on how to clean a laptop, heard and read some things about it here as well. But, i don't know what kind of laptop do i have, if its shinny plastic or something else. I heard about isoprophilic alcohol for glossy and for LCDs, with a microfiber cloth. But, wouldn't the alcohol damage the LCD, and it will work on my laptop? Anyone having a similar notebook can confirm that it worked for him ?

Just use water, if needed at all. Unless you've been spilling sugary liquids or blowing your nose onto the computer screen, water will take care of it.

water won't take care of the LCD, nor the laptop itself as well, i just want to clean it as it came fresh from the factory
