The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. Was it just me or was there a little window at the end of customizing an e1705 and e1505 that said for xx$ you can get a different paint scheme?

No. On some systems they've offered different lids/stickers and wrist pad colors also but never paint schemes for that you need to go here: colorware

They do nice work on apple's and dells. Price isn't to horrible either. Otherwise there is smoothcreations.com who does work for falcon northwest and individuals.

It's a clip-on lid that you pay extra for and it gives it a more unique look as compared to other Dells floating around.

With the XPS Gen 2 you get a colour window, but you can either get the lights and silver lid otherwise you'll get a regular 9300
