    okay so i just got a dell latitude from a friend of mine for free, it doesn't have the greatest specs. but i can't beat the price. but i just painted it "Red Pepper" and put tribal flame pinstriping down the edges, i'll post some pics of it and have you guys tell me what you think.

    here's the specs by the way.
    Dell Latitude 15"
    1.8ghz Pentium 4-m
    768mb DDR ram pc2100
    30gb 4200rpm drive
    dedicated Radeon mobile 7500 with 32mb of ram.

    okay so here's the final result, i would have gone into greater detail around say the power buttons and the LEDs around the frame, but i wasn't that patient.

    oh, i used krylon fuzion for the red coat, then i put on the pinstriping, then a layer of scheleac. to protect the color a bit better.

    Not fond of the C640s colors? I like the fact that it's black. I wish the current Dells were black instead of gray. Some decals on the thing would look nice though. I might do something to mine.

    (I'm assuming that's a C640 since the specs and looks are nearly identical to mine, but correct me if I'm wrong).

    In the pictures it looks kinda rough, is it? Or is just the way its made to look, and did you use any clear coats on it?

    no, it's not supposed to look rough, but it's like that because it's the first time i've ever painted something like that before. it's also a pp01L, and i used a simple wood finishing coat, i know that's not really what it's ment for, but that's all i had.
