Ok, so first check this thread out:

My faux leather Con-Tact Paper finally arrived today, and I am happy to say that I made the right decision to buy it. As the ad says, this paper (it's not really paper at all, it's a stretchy vinyl covering) feels and looks like real leather. It's adhesive is not very sticky, and it is easy to put it on and peel it right off if you're not satisfied with the result. It costs only $9.99 for a 6 ft x 1.5 ft roll of this stuff, and I used just a little bit of it....there's a lot more left, and I'm trying to find new places to stick it on.... :D

    So here's the result:

Nice job! I got my faux leather skin pre-cut for my m1330, but it fits perfectly even with the logos.

You may want to consider covering the entire lid with the leather skin, and then find a large enough Toshiba logo you could stick on top. Maybe check e-bay?

Yeah, I saw those pre-cut skins on ebay, but they don't have anything for Toshiba. And second, getting a roll of this contact paper is far cheaper than buying one of those ready made skins...besides, you have so many designs to choose from: faux leather, suede, wood, marble etc.

Hmm.......good idea. Although I really like the glossy lid, and would like to keep a portion of it visible, if not all.

    Thanks! :)

I'm going to rip out the leather covering from the lid and put transparent con-tact paper there instead......I'll post those photos up as soon as I do.

^ You really like leathers, huh? :D

By the way, are those logo stickers on top of the contact paper or did you cut the holes for them? I can't tell from the pics.

    :)

i REALLY like the contrast of the leather and glossy strip on the lid... maybe put a clear layer and re-add the leather strips on top of that? =)

Looks really good man! Did you by any chance notice a temp increase since the leather will insulate the case some?

No, didn't cut holes for them, peeled them off, and then stuck them back on the leather.

Yea, I'm going to get transparent contact paper and cover the lid, but I'm going to remove the leather from the lid, I don't like the way it hides the glossy exterior.

Yep, you can easily cover it up with this paper. Try going for the suede or some other colour though, because black doesn't stand out too well IMO.
