I've read tons of guides on painting laptops, but pretty much every one of them involves a glossy/shiny finish.

I'm giving my laptop a Black-Satin finish and I was told by a friend (he's into autobody painting) that it was not necessary for me to use any rubbing compound or wax. Can anybody confirm this? Is there anything I should do after I'm finished with my clear coats? Thanks!
