My Dell inspiron 1525 is my pride and joy! I have it all hooked up to 3 monitors and it's running Vista beautifully! But, have any other inspiron owners noticed small cracks appearing anywhere? Wikipedia said that a common problem with the Inspirons was the plastic cracking. I haven't dropped it ever, but there's some small cracks on the plastic edges around the screen and on the palm rest piece near the headphone input. Will the warranty cover the pieces getting replaced? The guy is coming out tomorrow to put a new hinge in, the last one came loose. Would Dell get the palm rest and the plastic around the screen replaced for me?

They normally should if your laptop is still under warranty or if the csr you talked to is nice and has empathy for other people.
