I searched for scratch and came across many threads showing how to remove scratch but is there a way you can keep your laptop looking new and scratch free ? I've seen bunch of places that sells skin but not sure how good that would be. I've got Vaio FW290 which has matte finish top (thankfully not too much fingerprint hog) but it is white and it would be easy to get scratch and other things on white. Is there a way I can keep it looking new without hiding it ?

Use wax, like in car wax. A thin coat now and then can prevent (light) scratches. And it is no joke!

    cheers ...

Yes, car wax! A dab on a clean cloth, and off you go. Seriously.

    cheers ...

Well, it would stop those light scratches from being visible (which is, after all, what polishing wax was intended to do in the first place :D).

No way. I've been waxing my laptop twice weekly for the past month, and yet new scratches still appear. I don't know if wax reduces the amount of scratches, but it definitely doesn't stop scratching.

Anybody know of any coupons for Zagg ? Also do anyone use anything to protect keyboard ? Problem with my Vaio FW is it is White color and keyboard is also white so it is likely to get dirty.

I like the style of M1730 as anyone can barely see the scratches and it always looks new.

You could try a neoprene sleeve.
