I never knew people custom painted laptops, but now that I saw this section, I thought I'd share mine. I work in the motorcycle business. There is a custom painter who comes into the shop where I work and does all of our pinstriping and custom painting. Real talented guy. A few years back, between jobs, he threw some quick flames on my old Dell CPi (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). Nothing too bold, just some nice, understated flames. Handpainted and faded in House of Kolor paint.

I was going to say the same thing, verbatim.

Thanks guys. Now if only I could keep this old clunker running until I can replace it. I'll have to have the next one done too.

Perfect song for that that picture. Very nice modification.

Looks good

I must say that looks sweet! But it would look even cooler if the flames were air brushed on there, and it was done with several different colors, it would make those flames come to life
-
Nah, not a big fan of air brushing for an application like this. I wanted simple and understated. Besides, striping is a lost art, and I had one of the best in the country do my laptop. It means something to me. The guy that did the cover of my laptop has had choppers he's painted on several of the nations most popular bike mags. He just did some quick flames for me one day. In fact, I just bought a new laptop last night, but I'll never get rid of my trusty old Dell.

Appears to be a good job, I like. So, how much faster is it?
-
Oh, it's blazing fast now. In fact, as you're reading this, I'm not even done typing it yet.
-
That's fast. -
