Oh god, blue and gold...University of Michigan colors, pardon me while I go throw up...

    :p

Sorry, I'm from Ohio State. It can't be helped. That reminds of my friend, who has a Product (RED) M1530, which is a red lid with gray trim on the sides. It matches our school's colors, scarlet and gray, perfectly. :D

That's certainly not my choice of colors, but it looks like your friend did a good job with it. If he wants to sell it, tell him to try Michigan students. :p

Also it appears to look really *even* from a closeup view!

Well I really have to ask my friend but I guess he used some kind of special car paints, he told me that the process took less than 3 days.

If you wish I can ask him for more info ;).

If you wish I can upload more pics too ;).

Sure, if you don't mind....less than 3 days is pretty good.

And, any work done on ones own lappy..I think is pretty cool.
    Especially painting! :D
Whether one likes it or not, is personal choice ;)

    That look great!!
I think all custom paint jobs are awesome, simply because the person had the guts to take his/her whole laptop apart.
I plan on doing a custom paintjob once my warranty is up.
Matte black with red or blue tribal/flames \m/

I would be interested in seeing more pics in better light

    I don't think I'll ever paint a notebook... maybe a desktop, but not a notebook ;)
Reasons: I'm a pad painter when it comes to being so particular and careful.
I've had a bad prior experience with painting things :p
I think paint jobs turn some people away if you're trying to sell a
    painted notebook.

Seems odd to me to go through the work to paint it, and then sell quickly.

I dont think he is crazy because I can relate to him, I never paint any model that I build because I always see the tiny errors. And this is one of the reasons why I did not like art class.

Ain't that the truth - you can see every tiny little flaw as if it were a gaping hole in the fabric of space-time, and everyone else can't see a thing.

Looks nice to me. Compliment to your friend's cool job!

There should be a way to remove the dot.
Maybe even the standart display cleaner may solve it slowly?

Of course, don't use more aggressive solvent which is likely to damage the display.
