Hello all... I'm new.
I got a new HP notebook (see sig) a week ago and already changed the look... what do you think?

-
quite the set up you've got there... switches, hubs, headphones, docking bay, corvette theme.

woowoo. radiohead avatars

ya that tray is old school. i like how you have enough equipment to open up a best buy resting on a 60's TV dinner tray. SWEET

I feel the same way about ferrari. Looks good to me.
-
Is it a sticker/designed specially for notebook's cover, or you just glue it? Looks retro and good though.

The colors look rather washed out and dull. I would have proably just gone with a Corvette sticker. Or if you wanted to spend some cash I would have had someone airbrush a picture of your car on the lid instead.
But the question is whether you are happy with it. That is what matters. -
I'm very happy with it. Airbrushing would be the ultimate, but expensive. I don't keep notebooks long enough to justify spending that kind of money. Since my first notebook in 1985, a Tandy 600, I've owned 20-25 notebooks, new one every year.
How about this, I still have my very first notebook, a 1985 Tandy 600

Do you ever get any edge peeling with that sticker? Also, is it made from Avery vinyl? I'm asking because I'm trying out a laptop skin from PolyGFX, and I'm having a few issues with the edges peeling; maybe I'll try Schtickers in the future if this one doesn't pan out.
-
I haven't had it on long enough to really tell you about the peeling. I like the way it fits so far. The price is cheap enough at $25 that if it starts wearing, I'll just get another one. -
However, mine is the better deal. Not only are they like new and antique, I got a set of 4 at a yardsale for only $1. Yes, you see correctly, ONE DOLLAR! Can't beat that!
Now for sheer comfort to go with the tray, how about this little invention of mine to make it more comfortable computing with my notebook when at home.
This is my setup
I use these real soft keyboard size beanbags for the mouse/keyboard on my lap.
I'm telling you, this is comfortable and you can compute for hours.

jeez man are you trying to win the contest of how many electronics you can fit into one picture? lets see i spy.....cell phone, Video camera, 2 mice, wireless headphones, corded headphones, Universal Hub, extra keyboard, extra memory disk, possible wi-fi booster, and a data card i think. you win
-
I buy the best I can every couple of years. Airbrushed paintjobs are great and can be done for as little as $200 but if your not gonna keep it for long then yeah it'd be a bit of a waste
-
How about upgrading the chair in you set up?
