    i am getting my laptop professionally painted...can you paint the touchpad?

    ive seen them painted and unpainted.....

    I've seen people paint them, I don't know what to reccomend on painting it though.

    well we are using house of colors paint in an extreme paint job....

    i have seen some painted and some unpainted. and i cant really figure out if its a good idea or not.....

    I wouldn't-could lead to issues and most just leave it alone (this and speakers, ports etc.)

    Its not worth it man. Its nice to be able to use the laptop self contained, without lugging around all kinds of extra things like mice, keyboards, etc. That really defeats the purpose of having one to begin with. Silver isn't so bad is it :p

    I've heard of people painting them and they still work, but I wouldn't advise it. And if you do end up doing it then maybe get a spare and try it on that one.

    For the MOST part, your touchpad should be fine after painting. However if too many coats are applied, the paint will be so thick that it will not allow the pressure to register thru it on the pad below.

    I have painted a few of them and never had a problem. Plus worst case scenario... Buy a new touchpad :D
