I am a complete noob with cosmetic modifications so please bear with me.

I was going to get the silver 5792 but am now deciding to get the orange one and just paint the orange stip on it to black.

So my questions is how hard would it be to paint a simple stripe? Do I need to disassemble the notebook or can it be done with doing that?

Also, what would I need to accomplish the job? For example, what type of paint? Like model paint or spray paint or something else?

If I can do it without disassembling the notebook how would you recommend I protect the rest of the unit during the painting process?

    Thanks for your help!

use masking tape and paper underneath to cover your entire notebook. i would personally disassemble everything to be safe. there are a lot of threads with simple tutorials explaining the painting process. you should paint the metallic speaker cover black i think it makes the laptop look cheap.

Is it possible to paint the trim around the Keyboard and touch pad black? I don't like the carbon fiber thing!
