Hi all,
New to the site and looking for some advice. Hopefully this is in the correct place to post?![]()
I've repaired and pilaged a couple Powerbooks to get to where I am; a fully working powerbook, but a bit unattractive in looks (will be fixing this with (hopefully) a slick paint job.) However I (My mum) recently broke the hinges, something thats notorious on the Titanium series of powebooks. The display is still fully operational, however the LDVS cable has a couple of cuts in the insulation and this results in the screen "fuzzing" up when they come in contact with each other, re-insulating them should fix this.
I was wondering if there was a simple solution, using superglue to cover the small cuts? Or is it going to be a painstaking job with insulating tape?
Many thanks in advance!!![]()

you can get stuff like this

Any chances of just replacing the cable itself?

Cheers for the replies.
The liquid tape looks just the ticket, thought their must be something like this on the market, will just have to find a UK supplier, cheers. EDIT - Found and bought cheers.
Replacing the cable although probably the better option, is a bit of a nightmare to be honest, and something I would like to avoid. -

If possible get a small artist paint brush and if there is enough slack do each wire individually and do not let them all clagg together.
