Don't get me wrong, it all looks great, and I wouldn't mind my 5792 being painted like that. But every time I look at it, it makes me think someone left it there on the floor in a room full of mad painters, then left 2 paint buckets dripping with paint on the notebook.

I happen to love the look it came with, which is 90% of the reason I chose this notebook, but I guess it would make YOURS stand out from everyone else's. And then there's the the possibility that if someone stole it, it would probebly be pretty easy for it to be recovored.

What might that cost though? That looks like , well if you'd want to get everything done on it, all chome, even the keyboard painted would look like a job worth over $1000 (usd) But hey, if you have the money...

Cost is the big issue I'm stuck on, right now. I know that a basic job can be done for a couple hundred bucks, which would be fine with me, but a lot of the things I'd like to do with this are a little more demanding. If the price gets too high, then I'll probably just end up keeping the 'classic' design and save the paint for when I've got money growing out of my teeth.

As for the aesthetics, to each his own. I also think the design is reminiscent of locking the laptop in a room full of angry painters, but that's what I like about it. ;D

Anyway, I should have the laptop by this time, tomorrow night. When I get a closer look at it, I might realize that I like how the 5793 looks and pass on the paint altogether. If not, I'll be getting in touch with Laptop Design USA for a quote ASAP.

Fex I think you will be pretty surprised how nice the laptop looks when you get it, I would really just get the lid painted at most and save some cash for other things you want to do.
