Hello guys, which one of these laptops do you think gonna have better gaming performance, GPU OC and cooling despite the looking, the hardware will be same for all
- 4th Generation Intel® Haswell Core i7-4700MQ (2.4GHz - 3.4GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache) (SKU SPU201)
- IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
- NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 780M (4.0GB) GDDR5 PCI-Express DX11
- No Copper Cooling Upgrade (Dose this make any diff ??)
- (16GB 1600MHz Ram)]
- 750GB 7200RPM [SATA II - 16MB Cache] (SKU - HDD099)
- 8X Super Multi DVDRW/CDRW
cooling is very important to me because I will use this laptop in middle east so ambient temp is expected to be relatively high, the reseller will be xoticpc , i saw some posts talking about new heat sinks for the sager & clevo laptops i dont know if xoticps has already provide these laptops with the new heat sinks,
what do you think about these spec,?? i should not think about new laptop till 3-4 years
i will appreciate your help
sorry for my bad english![]()

If cooling is very important to you, stay away from the MSI.
-
if you want gaming performance, you need dual videos ( m18x R2 )
sorry, but one is no fun when you can have two -
You dont "need" dual cards for gaming performance at all.
It all depends what do you plan to play?
How high of details and res do you want to play your games at?
and so on. -
Thanks for bumping this. I'm in a similar situation.
I'm considering a msi 16f4 barebones vs a Clevo 150-sm. This is my first big ticket laptop purchase. Cooling is not so important because I use a cooling pad.
My main concern is the later ability to swap the gpu in the 16f4. I understand it's MXM, but does it require a MSI specific vbios tailored to the new gpu? I can get a pretty good deal on a 16f4 just don't want to be left with out a way to upgrade the gpu in 2 years time or so.
Sager NP8265 (Clevo P150SM) VS Sager NP8255 (Clevo P157SM) VS FORCE / MSI 16F4 (54-018) 780M (MSI GT60 Barebones)
