I posted a few months ago of my desk, but I've made a few... changes

Both monitors are 22" running off my Portege M700

Doesn't it hurt your neck to use that upper screen?
-
Nikon D40X??
-
It is uncomfortable so I'm going to lower the whole setup. I can still drop about 3" and I think that it will make a difference.
-
yep, had it for about a year and a half and I love it.
-
Know much about ExIF data?
-
I've never heard of it... just wiki'd it. It gives information about the camera and picture, right? Is that how you found out the type of camera that I'm using?
-
I just dropped the setup down and it's MUCH easier to look at. For some reason having it that high was making me a little sick to my stomach (that's why I got off my lazy rear and fixed it so quickly).
-
Yah. You also appear to have taken only about 2,888 images with the camera - or at least to have triggered the shutter 2,888 times (which suggests that you reset the image file numbering system after the first 1,596 images). To be honest, there isn't much that's "sexy" in ExIF data; although in newer models with GPS options, the actual location of the camera when a particular image was taken could be determined (your ExIF doesn't show any location info, as far as I can tell). Still, some people are uncomfortable with secret metadata of any sort going out in public.
If you want to see what's in the ExIF data, download Exiftool by Phil Harvey, put a copy in the same directory the image file is in, then drag the image icon over on top of the exiftool(-k).exe icon and release - a console window should pop up with the ExIF data the app found in the image. -
That's interesting stuff, I was aware that there was some data that was written to the pictures beyond the "image" but was never aware that it was so detailed... GPS data, now that's kind of scary (if one is posting in forums like these... not that I don't trust y'all, but...). Thanks for the info
-
The simplest way to get rid of the metadata is to open the file in an image editor, select the whole image (or the bits you like), copy the selected bits, then open a new document and paste the copied parts into the new image, save the new image (as jpeg or whatever floats your boat) and go with that new image. None of the ExIF (or any other metadata related to the camera) should make it's way into the new image file.

Thanks for the tip

I live in a van down by the river...

i dont care if you know where i live.... heck who is really gonna come steal my stuff?
population 200 in the deep south -
Right now you probably don't, however with people posting pictures of their families on the internet there exists the chance for predators to target certain populations (those with young children, boys, girls, etc). Your percieved isolation may not prevent your from being a victim, in fact someone might choose to victimize you based on that very isolation (in space, or when your neighbor is 1 mile away, no one can hear you scream).

Not hard to spot a cow in a human stack, if I may say so myself.

I just sold my MSI this past weekend...but it's close enough. -
Nice taste, sir.
I have the wallpaper on your samsung.
Can you share me the other wallpaper? -
I know the site where you got that MSI wallpaper from.
-
What MSI laptop is that?
-
be aware the upper screen may cause u neck injury
-
Right, i showed you guys my old setup and here some pics, lights on and off of my new setup.
The plugs are behind the speakers so i can just pull the end outs without making a mess
-
man love the old school corded phone you got there..
-
Im surprised that nobody has mentioned the sniper rifle in the bottom left corner...
-
I have the same counters as you haha
Nice setup that wallpaper looks cool! -
lol I just saw that
I am thinking airsoft. -
Hm ... we have a SIEMENS Gigaset to be honest^^
The cellar was a extra flat and this was the "remote" for its door.
I was suprised as I saw that I forgot to remove it
Not really^^ It's a good old Diana Mod 35 (made in Germany
), I think you call it Airrifle but it's < 7,5 J and it's still able to penetrate a bear bottle from 30m, and you even can hit it with the first shot. It was a present from my unkle, I added from time to time the bipod, silencer and Walther 4-12x56 MilDot
In the summer it's realy cool to lay in the gras with it
Ah ... as far as I know you there in America are allowed to own rifels with more then 7,5 J, but that's the limit in Germany^^
Greetings
Julian
PS: I am sure every second of you has one in his celler as well
Edit: ah right, americans play with real guns
-
I dont have a real one but I have Talon SS CO2 that I am trying to sell.
Nickel at 50 yards is not unreasonable with a nice scope -
That's a realy nice one, but I have a problem with the CO2.
I have a Beretta 92FS CO2 and it's great for blinking but for "long range" (25m< X <50m) shooting the drop because of the presureloos after each shot is a no go for Field Target

Good pix for a cell-phone camera!

I'm so jealous... Really i am, i love guns but living in Denmark really sucks because of the extreme gun laws. The criminal all have guns but the people who uses it for fun and as a hobby have to go thru all kinds of ****.. Although this probably is also the cause for us never ever having a school shooting or other massacres, hehe.
-
That, or perhaps Danish youth are just too soused to be able to pick up a gun??
-
That 10 year old HP is relatively small from the looks of it, compared to my 10y/o packard bell anyway hehe.
-
Ya, it's a mini-tower and a giant PITA to do anything inside. The optical drives are mounted on a swing out enclosure that you have to swing out and remove to access the memory, which happens to be very inconveniently positioned close to other components in the case.

Thanks! It's a Sony Ericson K810i CyberShot

For what you have to work with right now, Richard...while your lappy is in for repair...it works out good!

Still, looks like your firmware - R1KG001 - is a bit outdated, at least according to this ESATO thread. I believe that there is an automatic update service you can d/l from the Sony-Ericson support website to your PC and use to update the firmware on the phone.

You can see the laptop (left, connected to 19" monitor), tablet (center) and HTPC (hidden behind tablet, connected to 42" 1080P TV). The X-box 360 is also in the background, and if you look carefully you will notice the growing HD collection about the monitor.
