alot of really nice set up, guys! all of these multi-monitor setups are really tempting!!!

just stream stuff off yur laptop. :p

have u considered just buyin a 9v or 12v AC adapter, and running it to the cryo LX, so u don't have to do all that extra wiring.

24 inch screen is alot bigger then i had realized. you have to be looking at like a 72 inch desk to fit 2 of them comfortably on there. im kind of regretting my 24 inch because of this. im thinking a single 27 inch would be better. im repainting this weekend. if i manage to get myself a desk i will post pics.

That is true. I had 2 24" screens for a while and they kept my 6' desk pretty snug since I also kept the desktop up on the desk

Well being as it isn't Really a portable cooler I just wired the fans directly to a molex in my remote linux box. As for tv I can't as I'm using my computer and there isn't any space on either laptop screen. If there is I'm not working and going to be downstairs. :p

I like it! You need a wire tie here and there, but it's a really nice setup. The goldfish chair would have to go though. It looks like it would get in the way BIG TIME.

    Do I spy...an Alienware desktop?

I remember you...sound reactive cold cathodes in your case, right? At any rate, that is a pretty cool set up. With all the money you have spent on those speakers, you could have bought yourself a receiver and some tower speaker though.

I thought about it, but there would not be space for the pump/res then and I change gpus too often, so that would become a nightmare. Taking out and putting back in the loop is not fun in such a small case.....haha

thanks. my house is actually a mess right now cuz i haven't been cleanin much lately. :p

i've had my cryo LX for almost 2 1/2 years and it is simply the best. my NP8850's GPU and CPU will not go higher than 64*c-65*c. that's after hours of straight up gaming too.

Do those 5870's get adequate cooling? Looks like the fans on those things are pretty blocked...

They get pretty warm. Running furmark they got up to 93c but stayed stable. mATX does not lend itself to multi gpu cooling lol

Not sure how far they will overlook given the heat yet.

Yeah, that's what I was guessing. If you were to put in some 480's, you would definitely need to include them in the water loop, lol. They are some pretty warm cards.

At any rate, it's a nice rig you have there. :)

Actually the 480s would do better since the fans can intake air from both sides of the PCB and not just the bottom like the 5870s. My top 5870s is choked for air because there is almost NO gap between the 2 cards. The bottom card has a bout a .5" gap to suck air if from. I strongly considered the 480s but price and the need for a new PSU and the heatpipes on the outside getting in the way of the pump/res stopped me. That and dual 5870s is still more than I will ever need lol

I did not want to do a 5970 for 2 reasons,

It is .5" longer and therefore would not fit with the push/pull fans on the bottom front rad, and the cooling is better for a set of 5870s since each gpu then has a full size cooler dedicated to it (well, in a bigger case that would work lol). And you have to buy a 5970 all at once, which is expensive. I got these 5870s months apart

I guess the length means there's no way. I just thought it may be a decent idea since it would get better airflow on the top and bottom of the card (and like you said, of course the 5870s would be cooler in either a mid ATX or full ATX tower).

How varied are the temperatures between each 5870?

I'll post a picture of all my machines once the XPS M1730 arrives!

Absolutely love it. Upgraded from a Cooler Master NV 690 Case and couldn't be happier. The old case was cramped by comparison, little to no room for cable management. This is a beast, tons of room behind the MB tray to route cables, super airflow, and the hot swap bays are awesome, works perfectly.

People on Newegg like to complain about the front bay drive doors, they don't get in the way and since they're not flush with the case it fits my X-Fi front panel with room to spare.
