Skinned My Sager 9262

Introduction​

After being bothered by the mundane looks of the Sager and being not so eye catchy,I decided to skin him.Looking through a few stores like decal-girl,skinit.com etc etc, I ended up with www.schtickers.com..They had lot of pre built designs for various shapes,reasonable price,possibility of custom skins,free shipping over $30 and good customer service.I wanted to make one for the top and another for the palm rest.So I decided make a full one and another one with 2 designs for palm rest.And being a Terminator and Rambo fan I decided to stick with those guys.For some reason, png files didn't load and so I had to change it to a JPEG.From there ow,it was an easy job.

Ordering​

I placed order on 10th of June with images all made and it came to $50.Luckily I got a 15% off coupon

and so the total came to $42.48 with shipping.

On Friday a guy called me asking if he had to separate the two images for the palm rest.I said I will do it myself and he said it would be shipped on Friday.And on Monday I got it.It was slightly bent as the envelope used wasn't very thick.

Just out of box it looked like the ones shown below.For the second image for palm rest,it's "classified",it's not shown .

Conclusion​

They are fast and professional and they do have lot of designs for almost every equipment.And for those who want to,there is a possibility to make custom built skin for $25.With good customer service,they are the way to go

Kinda scary to use the laptop now in public

 

Ya the laptop in itself is scary.The one on palmrest is the same as your boot screen,just resized.As for cover there was too much blank space.But this one looks great.

 

Are they fingerprint magnets or anything? and is it easy and safe to clean it ?

Never noticed any fingerprints.They feel like glossy plastic but a bit thicker.So seems like fingerprint won't come in there.Being plastic I think it doesn;t stick anything unless you put in a chewing gum.

The best part is when you take it out,still looks brand new

You can make one.It's easy and congratulations.

 

I really think the top of the notebook looks awesome. And the terminator one on the right palm rest fits in well. In my opinion the Rambo one on the left palm rest doesn't fit in well.
Overall it looks good.

that is kool!! can you do a 1 month follow up review with pics, i would like to see how the skin holds up w. everyday use and if palm marks will start to appear

Dude....AMAZING! I am about to purchase the Sager 9262 as well and I have been searching for a terminator themed skin! I was planning on having it painted on, but after looking at the stickers you got, it looks pretty tight!
I have to know. Were those listed on ther website to select from or did you send in those photos for a custom-job? I would just about KILL for those. Admittedly, T3 was a downer for me (T2>T1>T3), but it looks way too cool to pass-up. I'm not a huge Rambo fan, but I personally think you made the right choice, it contrasts the T-theme nicely, while still remaining "killer".

No offence, but .exes kinda scare me when its from rapidshare and stuff....
Its been at least half a month now, any changes ie scratches and stuff?

The exe is a self extracting archive made from winrar.
It's as good as it was when I put it in,solid and no scratches and a long trip halfway across the world crammed with another HP laptop and the cooler and no problems.
I think it would still work.There is another one somewhere if it don't work.Pm me if u need one.

 

hey whats going on guys? I just had a few questions about the sager 9262 (i'm currently in the military serving in afghanistan and this haji internet is next to nothing so finding info on the sager 9262 is a pain, so forgive me for posting in a wrong thread), i'm getting the sager 9262 with quad core 3.0, 4 gb of ram, nvidia 9800m gtx, 1920x1200 rez, 2 320gb hdd in raid 0 config...i just had a few questions on games i have. i mainly play rts like dawn of war, warcraft 3, lord of the rings battle for middle earth 1/2, and titan quest. k, my question is, will these run insanely good on this sager i just mentioned and will they be compatible in 64 bit? i'm looking to do 64 bit but like i said from my circumstance, it's not getting me very far. if you guys could email me that would be fantastic gdninja22 at hotmail dot com. thank you for help
