    I apologize if this is the wrong section.

    So I was using super glue to repair my broken mug, and I'm really not sure how, but some glue got onto my m1330 3 feet away -.-;;

    Now what? The glue is on the back cover, on the same strip as the XPS logo. I've tried dipping a rag into near-boiling water to try and loosen the superglue, but no luck. I'm considering borrowing some nail polish remover, but would that damage and/or discolor the m1330 lid (it's black, if that makes any difference)? Otherwise, would super glue remover get the glue off without damaging the lid? Thanks for your replies, guys.

    Well, since its in the back of the lid, try using a piece of cloth with alcohol and rub that gently...try not to apply that much pressure. I don't know any other option regarding superglue...BTW avoid spilling any alcohol on the screen!

    Funny comment??? The superglue is either alive or likes your lappie very much to get there from 3 feet away!

    Sorry there, nail polish would work...just as I mentioned with alcohol, try to rub it gently, little by little.

    Note: Tinder, been looking your avatar and I just need to tell kudos to you...Kate Beckinsale is just toooooo hot...off topic I know, but I had to say it!

    only nail polish remover with acetone will work. and alcohol will not work at all.. if you have a local hobby shop they sell stuff to remove "ca" glue that will work as well

    had this one myself on shiney new laptop.
    i used a superglue remover and tooth picks.
    i soaked the toothpicks in the remover and gently removed all traces of the glue.
    but the down side. the lid had a very high gloss finesh and the chemicals in the glue did leave a small mark, but didn't look as bad as the glue.

    Hope this helps
    Phil :D

    My m1330 has a black matte finsh, so i think marks should be minimal. I was just worried that acetone might affect the color in some way, but it sounds like if I'm careful I should be fine. I'll try hoggie's toothpick method with the acetone first. Thanks very much.

    that sucks, i had that happen to my creative zvm before and when i tried removing it with nail polish remover it ended up leaving a cloudy mark on it. But i don't think it will do that on the matte finish.

    I still have the small cloudy mark, but have seen a mate who does car body work (today) and he said car laquer can restore the mark.
    will let you know how it turns out. :D

    I've heard that peanut butter works, but I've never tried it myself, so I'm not sure.
