I have a lenovo N200.. when i bought it the lenovo sticker was almost falling off so recently, in an attempt to fix it with superglue, i spilled some on my laptop.

now the lenovo sticker is doing great and the superglue is working as it should.. but i also dropped a few drops on my laptop.

i checked google and acetone and alcohol are the normal methods of removal..

acetone removes paint so i did not try that.. (N200 is silver painted)

while the alcohol does not work..

anyone knows how i can get this off my laptop?

why on gods green earth would u use superglue to re-stick a sticker those stickers are gonna fade eventually and have to be removed..... on top of that when u leave them on for to long the paint under the sticker looks new while the other paint around it is faded adding up to not matching up with the over all paint color...i guess your best bet will be to ignore it...

Leave it on Jeeves. There's nothing strong enough to break down super glue without damaging your laptop in the process.

Maybe use a kraft knife to carve it out? It's like any blue, once you get an edge, the whole piece will lift up and you can peel/break the whole thing easily.

Yeah I'm with jackluo on this one, you're better of using hardware in this case. If something is strong enough to break down the superglue, well it'll do the same thing to your paint job XD. Get a little exacto knife and bend the blade so you can run it flat against the body of the lenovo and try to cut/peel it off that way.

its the lenovo logo sticker.. on the top lid.. so no fading there... i used superglue cause it would have been ugly if the logo fell off

but wont using a blade pretty much mess up the paint also.. like leave scratches and marks.

yup thats what i intent on doing.. and hope it will come off eventually :)

I swear by Goo Gone, although I've never tried it on an adhesive as strong as super glue.

Personally I would never use acetone or alcohol to remove the glue. I would just get a sharp object and peel off the glue very gently and carefully so I don't scratch the laptop. I you don't want to do it yourself just leave it there.
