Hiya, been snooting around this forum for a while but I have finally have a reason to join as I have a question to ask!
I have a Vaio VGN-FW11E and really like it. The only thing that irritates me slightly is one element of the build, the screen housing. There is a small gap between the chassis and the panel. This allows dust to collect in the gaps, especially when I clean the screen.
Anyone got any ideas for what I could slip down there? A type of putty maybe? I don't want to damage anything...
Thanks. Hopefully will be posting occasionally now I have an account.
Lawrence.

You could use an air compressor, blower bulb etc to move it out of sight at least. There are putty-like substances you can buy but it would probably be unwise to exert any circumstantial amount of pressure around the LCD. If the dust is a matter of substantial concern, you could remove the LCD bezel and then clean the edges.
Support for the screen edges?
