I do admit, the Sony Z I got last year was a sexy little machine as well

My wife counters that her CW is "pretty"
      -

@diggy, the stickers on you palm-rest ruin the looks.

whyy , those sticker are awesome , but not the energy star.
 -

I dont mind that so much; I dont have the laptop anymore anyway
 -

Indeed, I see you joined the dark side

A.K.A. Macs -

Bought my first Mac in '07. We started supporting them at work, so I wanted to have one of my own to get familiar with. Love 'em, but I'll never be without a Windows machine
 -

I'm biased towards the look of my own machine.

Though I do very much like the appeal of the Samsung Series 9.
However, I'd much prefer a Sony Vaio Z or Thinkpad. -

I agree with TSE, the best looking laptops are thinkpads. I owned a X120e and it was the sleekest looking laptop I've ever owned
 -

Somewhat biased with my own machine, but I'd say Dell Latitude E6410. Great angular design with well-placed lights, a lovely matte black finish, and excellent ergonomics.
Latitude E6410 Laptop Details | Dell
Sadly Dell ruined the E6420 that came after it. -

Agreed; I don't know who thought that having an orange "pinstripe" around the keyboard was a good idea for a business laptop.
 -

The new dell xps 14z looks promising, But the clamshell iBooks were neat back in the day, like the mac g3's
 -

I've always loved the dell m6400 - m6600. I have a m6600 and love it. A business laptop that can score p14206 in vantage. All while not covered in flashing lights and just felling like it could take a beating.
 -

No One thinks the lenovo u260 and u300 look good?
 -

I've taken a liking to Sager's systems lately. They have plenty of power, but aren't overly bulky like an Asus G73 or G74. I'm actually thinking of getting one, but that's all up to how much I get back on taxes.
 -

I've always liked those alienware laptops with the fully adjustable lighted keyboards.. simple gorgeous especially if the chassis looks like a fighter jet too (m17x). I imagine somebody has written software so the keyboard colors change with the beats of music ha.
My second favorite is my own .. a Asus G50VT with orange trim!! Why did they do away with the orange trim lol -

^^^ Weird. When I think of fighter jet, I think Asus G73 since it reminds me of the F-117A.
Anyway, I think my opinion on Alienware is somewhere on this thread

^^ only that a jet isn't made of plastic
      -

^^^Fighter jets aren't made of Christmas lights
      -

I used to have the DM3z! Not the new ones, but those aluminum ones. Great notebook for $500! Fantastic aesthetics and feel too. Unfortunately it was cheaply made and that chrome edge chipped away making it look like .

You simply don't understand that the lights can be turned off and the chassis is aluminium, fella. Till you own one you can't argue.
And as a extra they don't need proprietary/whitelisted wifi cards etc. unlike others
 *cough*thinkpad*cough*
      -

Haha I know about turning them off. They do look like without lights.
 -

Dell XPS 15Z
Alienware M14X
Falcon NW TLX - just try to argue

MSI GT683
Asus G53 or G73 series
HP with the metal cases look nice too -

Alienware m17x-R2 simply put, nothing looks better then Metal and RGB LED

      -

Sager all the way!
 -

I have Alienwares and Mac's can't go wrong with a solid mixture of work and play
Lotta good looking notebooks just get 'em all shessh...

Samsung Series 9 hands down. That thing looks like a black Lamborghini.

This is what I call beauty:

The Vaio X505. -

^^What's up with the keyboard/(lack-of) touchpad layout? That large empty space near the display is odd imo.
 -

Trackpoint instead of touchpad and the empty space is where the whole system takes place. There's nothing under the keyboard I think.
 -

 Holy terrible design batman!
 -

Trackpoints themselves aren't terrible (I constantly use mine), but the lack of the trackpad just looks odd to me.
 -

Wrong. Behold the Asus N45sf. She is a thing of beauty (Which I would buy if Asus SOLD it anywhere here in the U.S.)

I'm being a little dramatic, but still, it's pretty snazzy in white too.

It's big brother, the N55sf, is pretty similar, and there are more shots of it.

Comes with it's own little sub, too.

Now THAT's a good looking laptop. Get rid of the silver bar below the screen, shrink the bezel, and give the keyboard a backlight, and I'd say it'd be perfect. Performs good too, and comes with dang good speakers, which is sort of a rarity these days. -

Aren't looks highly subjective? Personally I like the Alienware M14x and M17x as well as the Sony Vaio Z series. What do you guys think of a machine like this by the way? I present, the Falcon NW TLX (aka, the highly tricked out Clevo P150HM)

It can come in any color you can think of and then some. Don't like what the machine looks like? No problem, for 1.5x overpriced they will take care of that for you. -

This is my baby:

Envy is nice. Look forward to the Envy 15. Hopefully the offer a 15" screen. If they offer one with the AMD Trinity I may bite.

I like some of the aluminum Asus offerings. My W90 had the aluminum lid and it adds a extra layer or style and durability.
      -

Very appealing... I'm not buying another machine until Ivy Bridge or maybe Haswell, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the descendents of the 2560p.

you sir, win all the internets!
 -
Best ever. Timeless. You nailed it
 -

Wow, that looks fantastic! The white finish is just awesome and from what I've heard the technical specs are great too:
- battery never depleting
- display easily readable even in sunlight
- flexible display
- absolutely silent
- revolutionary storage medium (no HDD failures, no SSD wearing)
- no viruses
- no closed source software needed
I'd like to get one of those but the price must be astronomic. But I guess it's worth it. Not long ago I've seen two kids with such a thing playing some sort of multiplayer game. I think they called it "battleship". It seemed like a lot of fun. -

Might've been "Tic Tac Toe" or "Hang Man"
      -

you guys are getting kinda retarded there, lol. As much as I've liked the Envy's Design HP has really downgraded the system with less then average screens with real crummy resolutions. Perhaps to drive down the prices, but all in all that just sucks....
      -

Lenovo U300s in Clementine Orange, but I like all of the U series IdeaPads. Also someone mentioned the polycarbonate Macbooks, they were very nice looking too and would be my runner up. Third would be the Aluminum Unibody Macbooks/Pros or the Dell Vostro V13.... not sure which.

      -
They actually cut the cost by not using laser etched designs anymore. If you think about it, it really costs a lot
 -

you forgot the biggest Cons of this unit.
- can only write to 200 or so pages. YMMV
- input device not included
- no HDMI output

a little off topic but you guys might get a kick out of this

The best looking notebook, period.
