Umm, no! You can only push portable so far. And I believe the 18.4 is that point. If you need that much real estate than that, get a desktop.

Yeah, quadro 3800m? Thats just old hardware, they should have done it with the Elitebook 8740w which can be upgraded to quadro 5000m.

If it were available for purchase now I'd probably end up with one, I'd also really want an overhaul on the specs. They're pretty low end for what it is, I can see a point for this and I'm quite happy in my desktopless world. 18.4" is nice for a laptop but I've always wanted one of 20" monsters for a media computer.

Interesting idea, but their specs are too old for the money.

If they would start out with a Sand Bridge chipset, and say a AMD Radeon 6970M or Nvidia GT560M, then I would be really interested in this as a portable CAD station.

Lenovo w700ds is to only dual screen laptop I would consider. The above one is just plain ridiculous.

that's an awful looking laptop. Whilst it does have some advantages to a dual monitor set-up it is just rigid black awful 90's plastic.

It really defeats the object IMHO.

Awful looking laptop, but not a bad idea. And if you listen to the guy, I think their are people out there who would want a laptop like this. The spec's are less than impressive though.

Can you run both 17's and an external? I would like to have that below my 40" and run all three at once.

This is really nice. If its rugged enough (ie not too fragile, I would be interested.

In my opinion it doesnt look realy portable any more. So you could just use an external screen.
