    Hi all,

I have found several normal bumper stickers (i.e. not made for laptops; probably very sticky) that I would like to put on my laptop, on the back of the screen. But I would like to make sure that they will be removable without leaving marks on my computer. Any ideas about attaching these so that they will come off easily?

Note: it has occurred to me to buy a 'laptop skin' and attach the stickers to that, but I'm honestly a little too cheap to buy one, and I also don't love the look of those combined with stickers. Am I being unrealistic?

    Thanks.

An idea would be to put a weaker tape on the bottem of the sticker. (but it will not look as nice because of the thickness)

yeah, I would think that they'd leave marks when you take them off. Whether it's from the adhesive, or from the difference betweent he covered and uncovered surfaces, you'll likely be able to tell that a sticker was there.

If I were you, I'd go with your idea of applying a skin over the entire lid, and sticking your bumper stickers to that.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to go with the skin, with stickers on top. I appreciate the help.

my old laptop has like 7 bumber stickers on the back and they all peeled off fine. I just trook them off after like 2 years, rubbed a little goo gone on the lid and it looked like new.

You might find this is not a good idea. They'll probably leave a lot of residue.

Considering that bumper stickers are for the exterior of a vehicle, they probably have a lot of glue to keep them and are most likely going to be trouble if you want to remove later.

How about scanning them and printing them on a removable vinyl or adhesive paper.
