I have had an XPS M1530 for close to 2 years now and I am getting bored with it. I would love to upgrade to a Studio XPS 16 but I am a college student and just don't have the money for that. What have you all done to your M1530s? I was thinking about buying a Vostro 1500 black keyboard for it and then painting all of the silver gloss black.

The Vostro 1400 keyboard sounds like a great idea. I did that with my former m1330. Not only does it look better, but the feel is better with no flex whatsoever.

Instead of painting you may want to consider a nice leather/carbon/wood skin from:

I've had the Dell XPS M1530 for a year as well but I haven't done much to it

I'm trying to switch it with an Asus G51/G60, Alienware M15x, Dell Studio XPS 16, HP Envy 15 or Sager NP8690 since my brother also wants it
