    everyone is talking about laser etching now... i want one too xD
    I just saw this at rev3 http://revision3.com/rev3gazette/versalaser/ doesnt seem like it would kill your laptop/electronics... my laptop has a huge black space on the back of the screen... so tempted... @_@

    if you want, they have machines on sale on ebay for like 700euro. i wish i knew of a european groop that could do this for me.

    as for dissasembly, just take off the lid. its not that hard and leave the rest of the pc alone.

    It's so sad that there are so few engravers that perform this service. The closest one to me is in San Francisco, and even then, its a DIY service. They don't engrave it for you, but you pay them so you can use the laser yourself.

    Hey guys I have an Epilog Legend 36EXT laser. I have engraved many a laptop. I am located in Idaho, more specifically Rexburg. There is a university near by so I stay pretty busy. I etch about 16 machines a day. I charge $50 for an image, that doesn't include shipping. If you would just like your name and or address etched its $20 you pick the font. If anyone is interested. http://www.ppccfab.com/ is our parent company which houses a MUCH more powerful laser. You can send me just the lid or the whole machine I will insure against damage.     Depends, if you send me just the lid turn around time is about 3 days including shipping. If you send the whole machine its closer to 5 days.

    If it wasn't a broken acer, yes it would have been the other way around. :)

    Website is almost up and I'll have about 30+ actual pictures of customers laptop's.

    I live near a college and get about 12 machines a week to etch. Mostly students who want there name and cell phone etched. :)

    My school is thinking of buying another one for £8k. To think what I could do with a £8k :)

    Id also love to engrave my VX Nano, but I dont know if it will work due to the curvature :confused:
