i have an hp dv4170us and its getting old....i just wanted to know what kind of mods i can do to make it a little more lively and have more eye candy
i considered painting it but i dont know if ill have time or like the permanent effect of that

so i was gonna get a shticker or one of many either brands but i can decide on a design

i was thinking something sleek that has centrino, hp, and xp logos on it
something in navy or midnight blue

also would it be possible to order two of these laptop decals and cut one to the point where it fit around the keyboard and hotkeys at the top, i mean like use an exacto knife to cut holes in it so it can stick to the body of the computer

any other possible mod suggestions woudl be greatly appreciated
or if u know or can think of a cool design i can get on the schticker

    thanks in advance guys

u can use the temporary body tattoo to make designs on ur laptop? These "tattoo" can be removed anytime without harming the laptop where they were being applied. Leaving them alone, they can last for weeks. If u want them to last much longer, u might want to think a bout getting a clear protective film/folio to cover them
This is great for applying lid themes

    cheers ...

If it was mine and I was fairly bored I'd paint it, and do some LED mods on it. But that would be alot of work, and when doing LED mods then there is potential for breaking it.

well, it is the easiest way to get my beat/scratched up emachines looking slick again :D
it also, for me anyway, serves as a good base for detailing as time goes on

actually yes, just make sure that u use a plastic of some sort (credit card) to push the extra into the creases where different laptop parts meet, just enough to be out of sight, so that unless u look real close, u would not notice the layer.
    just like playing with stickers

That's not a bad mod. Carbon Fiber is the new hotness and i suspect you'll be seeing some cool stuff in the future.
