    painting my laptop...wish me luck

    taking a stab at this laptop painting...i've got it all taken apart. a couple of pieces are already primed, waiting on the filler to dry to do the others...its a gateway mw6131...wish me luck!

    thanks, i hope i don't screw it up either...its the laptop i use on stage though, so just as long as she still works when i'm done that's the important thing :eek:)

    Interesting! What do you use the laptop on *stage* for? (Hoping its ok to ask that..just curious) :eek: :D

    i don't mind you asking at all. i'm the keyboard player for the justin teseniar band and i use the laptop as part of my rig..mainly to run ableton

    thanks! well, as far as the color...i've got several, white, maui blue, orange mist and metallic blue...haven't quite decided on the pattern yet though...i had one in mind when i started, but i'm thinking of changing it...we'll see though....who knows how this thing is gonna turn out

    NP!! Those, sound like really nice color choices... ;)

    When I think of those colors together I think of something beach like..A wave, the sand, the sun and skyline...just carefree and relaxed! :) Or, a blend of something really metallic..that draws you in! I wonder how that Orange Mist and Metallic Blue would mix together w/a bit of the white?

    Now, I really can't wait to your own finished product! :)

    I bet it turns out just fine!!! :D :cool:

    Hey sorry, so my schedule isn't allow me as much time to work on it as i'd like..the mouse is getting close to done, just one more paint coat then the clear coating it, as for everything else..everything has two coats of the base white..two more then the other colors will start. it didn't help that I got sick during the process so i couldn't work on it for a few days, and had to buy a new laptop as a result as i gotta have one in the rig...so the painting isn't a huge priority right now, but i am enjoying working on it

    Yeah, I was just thinking about the paintjob...what's the latest....last time you posted was last week! :)

    I'm glad your enjoying working on it! Sometimes the best *projects* take a long time to finish..and when they are completed..it's just fantastic & the effort truly shows! :) :cool:
