    How (can) do you remove the dell medallion on an xps m1210?

    I've been told with a blow-drier and something to pry it with.

    but then you still need somehting to fill the hole... the medallion is recessed, so if you just pop it out, the lid of your laptop is gonna look funny.

    I work in a sign shop, so to fill it is no bother.
    Im thinking a thin substrate with my own design and a clear (flamed edge) plexi to cover and protect.
    I'll post when its done, thanks for the info.

    Yes I've heard the blow-drier heats it and releases the sticky-ness. :D

    And in its place I stuck a light up Bio-Hazard symbol, it was definitely worth it.

    to tell you the truth, Zippo Lighter Fluid works perfectly to take away sticky-ness. I always use it to remove stickers from things, and it works miracles. You could try to put some drops around the edges, and see if you can pry it out.

    Goo-Gone the stickiness away, I prefer a citrus smell to gas any day.
