How (can) do you remove the dell medallion on an xps m1210?
-
I've been told with a blow-drier and something to pry it with.
-
but then you still need somehting to fill the hole... the medallion is recessed, so if you just pop it out, the lid of your laptop is gonna look funny.
-
Anything but the dell logo!!!!!!
-
why do you want to remove it, and what are you gonna do to replace it?
-
I work in a sign shop, so to fill it is no bother.
Im thinking a thin substrate with my own design and a clear (flamed edge) plexi to cover and protect.
I'll post when its done, thanks for the info.
blowdrier?? what the?
sven -
even my avatar is better than the dell logo impregnating my eyes with horror.
-
Yes I've heard the blow-drier heats it and releases the sticky-ness.
...Well it worked on my xBox... -
how dare you get rid of the xbox logo.
-
And in its place I stuck a light up Bio-Hazard symbol, it was definitely worth it.
-
cool, what did you lite it with? im not familiar with an xbox
-
to tell you the truth, Zippo Lighter Fluid works perfectly to take away sticky-ness. I always use it to remove stickers from things, and it works miracles. You could try to put some drops around the edges, and see if you can pry it out.
-
Goo-Gone the stickiness away, I prefer a citrus smell to gas any day.
-
-
avatar = charisma + 1
-
I powered the Biohazard jewel with the internal power from the Xbox.
