Ahoy there!
Is it possible to buy some adhesive screen protection to turn a glossy screen matte ? Are there problems with it ?
The screen (of the notebook I am thinking of buying) is a touchscreen. Would that be a problem ?
Thank you for any help/opinion!

I'm interested in hearing the responses, got a glossy screen myself which is a bugger.

A matte screen protector. I'm using those on my phones, work just fine... except the installation, which can be a real pain.

Well I have used a matte "screen protector" on an Asus eee PC (relatively new one with AMD Bobcat core) which made the screen usable. Installation is a PITA though. Have done the same on my smartphone, different make, same installation procedure, same pain (;P) same gain.
As I couldn't find the right size for my computer I bought one for a larger screened machine and carefully cut it to size _after_ installation. Looks fine, just have to be _careful_ as one could scratch the screen otherwise. -
The screen protector is a poor man matte screen. The difference between native matte screen and converted one is night and day. If you want the effect of a real matte screen, then you need to have a real matte screen. Otherwise the screen protector does just that; protect the screen.

But I still maintain that a good quality film on a glare notebook installed by an amateur can make the screen usable. -
