Hi, I cleaned my fujitsu notebook with windex and then got some bright streaks from behind the lcd after. After reading about this online I figured out that no one should use windex to clean any lcd.
So I followed the advice to use a mixture of alcohol/water to clean.
So I used alcohol/water to clean the same fujitsu lcd screen and I got a bigger bright mark under the screen now. I think its so bad I will need a new lcd screen now.
Does anyone know what to clean the lcd with on a notebook these days? I dont think even water is safe.

sounds like you may have had a bad LCD to begin with and fluid managed to get in between layers.

A slightly damp microfiber cloth is what's recommended for cleaning LCD screens.

Plus I use a hint (ie a lot less than a drop) of liquid detergent on the cloth to help shift the dirt.
