    BTW, I've read the review and laptop mag gives 4.5 stars to this lap.

    hey there everyone, sorry to be off topic here but i tried starting a new thread and it wouldnt let me for some odd reason (bare with me im new here =) ) anyway, i am looking to buying a laptop, i am a student a university so i would need something quiet light. although i still want a good computer (ie core 2 duo, 2 gb ddr2 ram roughly around 160 gb) if anyone could be nice enough to recommend me a model number of a laptop they think is suitable (and pretty cheap) that would be much appreciated. My budget is around $1400 New Zealand Dollar so that would be roughly around 700 US. thank you very much
