Nice but all of a sudden it now takes a 1000 dollars minimum to manage w8. Either MS better put an off switch to metro or oems will need to get price points down on the nicer touch screen systems. The average user is not liking W8 on cheap W8 systems with iffy touch pads.

Or you could argue that the average user has the iPad if he/she doesn't want to buy a pile of junk laptop.
You could say they're doing it already. -
Later we will see newer haswell systems that will no doubt cost a grand if not more. Just because MS decides they want a major UI change does not mean the average user wants to spend a ton just to utilize that UI properly. I talked to an RN at my work yesterday that is completely frustrated with a new W8 system that she feels its not usable. I know there are shills out there that defend 8 but the reality is there is a huge base that have major issue with it.
